IT Officer Interview Experience: Tanmay Desai

Dear all, presenting you the IBPS IT Officer Interview experience of  one of readers from Career Adda (Tanmay Desai)

There were total of six members in the panel...4 senior male members (out of which one was IT Specialist I think), one much younger member..i think selected as it officer not more than two years ago...and one senior female member...

Q1: tell me about yourself...
I answered that in which I mentioned that my father is in BOI...

Q2: you have selected BOI as your 1st preference, did your father selected the preference for you?
I declined explaining the reason why I selected boi as my first preference.

Q3: (by female member) tell me about your family background...
I answered that

Q4: you seem to know a lot about BOI...tell me which was the first branch of boi outside of India...
I said London 1946

Q4: how many branches are there in Japan...?
I said 2...tokyo and Osaka

Q5: how much of the overall revenue is generated from overseas branches?
I answered that...

Q6: which branch does ur father work in...
I said surat only...

Q7 to Q10 regarding why surat is financial capital of Gujarat
answered...

Q11: how has narga affected diamond business in surat
Sorry sir I don't have a clue what narga policy is

Then senior it guy asked two technical questions...one was...what is digital signature? I forgot the other one...but I answered both satisfactorily

Then female member asked the names of north eastern states..i could only answer 4...then one of them told me to look it up and remember as I should know the state names if I get placed there.

Finally, one member Said - "Thank you...i think we have concluded here...you may go now...all the best"
